Expressions of Interest are now open for membership of the WorkUP Queensland Reference Group.
WorkUP Queensland has a number of vacancies on our Reference Group due to some people stepping down from their positions in the sector. This opens up a new opportunity for people to apply to be a part of our Reference Group.
WorkUP Queensland is the sexual violence, women’s health and domestic and family violence sector’s partner in supporting a strong and skilled workforce. We bring together The Healing Foundation’s strong connection to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and healing, backed by the expertise of ANROWS in facilitating evidence-based policy and practice. Informed and driven by frontline providers, our objective is to address workforce-related challenges and opportunities to grow the workforce and better support current and future workers.
The Reference Group provides strategic advice and support to the WorkUP Steering Committee by:
- strengthening of relationships between the Service and the sector
- contributing toward creating a collective voice on priorities to strengthen the sector workforce
- ensuring sector and service user perspectives and interests are taken into account in the development and implementation of all initiatives
- Providing advice on key initiatives including practice laboratories, action learning, knowledge circles, and the statewide workforce strategy.
It is our intention to have the new members attend our next reference group meeting to beheld on 12 March.
