BRISBANE BRANCHES (BRISBANE AND SURROUNDS)

WOODY POINT BRANCH

Meets  2nd Tuesday each month. 9.30 – 11.30 am at the Woody Point Memorial Hall,  Oxley Avenue, Woody Point.  Social gathering every 4th Tuesday each month.  Contact: Helen on 0418 796 365

24th August – Social gathering – Seniors Concert at Senior  Citizens Hall $7 entry
27th August – Social gathering at Sea Salt and Vine from 10.00 a.m.
10th September – Branch meeting with Guest Speaker from Encircle.  Lunch afterwards at Woodys Seafood Takeaway.
8th October – Branch meeting with Guest Speaker Ray Krebs talking about the NBN
12th November – Branch meeting with Guest Speaker, Gayle Love, Mentalist
10th December – Christmas break-up party at Pilpel Restaurant

Woody Point’s first meeting in 2020 will be on 11th February.

CAPALABA BRANCH

Meets  1st  Wednesday of the month.   9.00 – 11.30 am. Capalaba Uniting Church Hall, Cnr Ney Road and Zandra Street, Capalaba. Contact: Naomi 0424 060 603, Desley 0409 594 908.

18th June –  Biggest Morning Tea – OWN Capalaba will be attending Caffe at Uniting Church to support them in their efforts to raise money.  Red Cross will be their guest speaker.
19th June – Morning tea at The Bush Pantry (Horizons at Capalaba)
3rd July – Branch meeting – Election of Officers; Local Ambulance Committee hand over of Trauma Teddies; Come in wearing your comfortable slippers for a “Soup and Slippers” day with soup for morning tea
17th July – Morning tea One Stop Cafe near the Sands Hotel
18th July – RDCOTA are having their annual fundraiser  “My Husband’s Nuts” theatre presentation.  Come along and support them as members of OWN.
7th August – Branch meeting – “Meet and Greet” High Tea for Seniors Week
21st August – Morning tea at Waterloo Bay Leisure Centre – Indoor Bowls and Devonshire tea.
4th September – Branch meeting (activity/guest speaker to be advised)
12th September – AGM in Gympie at Gunabul Homestead
18th September – Morning tea on Macleay Island
2nd October – Branch meeting
16th October – Morning tea at 10am, Muma’z Cafe, 73 Panorama Drive, Thornlands
6th November – Branch meeting – Sue will be teaching the art of beading

Bribie Island branch will start up again in 2020 with a social activity on 6th February, and the first general meeting will be on 20th February.
