Free Home Safety Advice

In December, Diversicare is introducing a Multicultural Interactive Planning Solutions (MIPS) program.  Funded by the Australian Government through the Dementia and Aged Care Services Fund, MIPS will offer free home safety advice to ageing Australians, and will be available in 7 languages (including Italian, Arabic, Greek, Vietnamese, Chinese, Spanish, and of course English) both visually and audibly translated.

The virtual home is an exciting journey, and has already been well received by community groups and organisations who have found it very useful.  Diversicare plan to roll out the website nationally, however they will still have a strong focus on the South-East Queensland region which is where Diversicare is based.

Considering more accidents happen at home than anywhere else in our community, Diversicare believe MIPS will be an invaluable FREE tool for our ageing community, and are offering free information sessions (with some refreshments and gifts to participants).

Information sessions usually take 1 to 1.5 hours, however, can be tailored to around an hour if that is more suitable.    If you would like some free training on this topic, please contact Hayley Williamson at Diversicare via email at hwilliamson@diversicare.com.au or by phone on 0438 118 807.
